La Ferlita and Moneta Elected to EPCLI Leadership Positions
June 11, 2026 |Rivkin Radler is pleased to announce that Joseph T. La Ferlita and Nicholas G. Moneta were elected to leadership positions within the Estate Planning Council of Long Island (EPCLI) at the organization’s Annual Officers’ Conferment Dinner on June 2. Joseph was elected President of the EPCLI. Nicholas was elected to serve an additional two-year term on the EPCLI’s Executive Board.
The EPCLI is comprised of experienced professionals dedicated to the field of estate planning, including attorneys, certified public accountants, trust professionals, certified financial planners, and insurance professionals, along with individuals in related disciplines who share a commitment to excellence. The EPCLI is affiliated with the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC), which consists of 251 estate planning councils across the nation. The EPCLI is a six-time winner of the NAEPC Council of Excellence Award and has been named a 5 STAR Council five times, which is a testament to its ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional programming and fostering collaboration within the legal community.
Joseph has been an active member for nearly 15 years, and Nicholas has been an active member for nearly eight years. Both have served in various leadership roles throughout their time as members of the EPCLI.
Joseph is a partner in the firm’s Trusts & Estates and Tax practice groups. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and serves as a vice chairperson of the Estate Planning Committee of the Trusts and Estates Section of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA). Previously, he served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Trusts and Estates Section of the NYSBA.
Nicholas is counsel in the firm’s Trusts & Estates and Elder Law practice groups. He is a vice chairperson of the Estate Planning Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s Trusts & Estates Law Section. Previously, he served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Trusts and Estates Section of the NYSBA. Moneta is a graduate of the Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute of ACTEC.
