Most law schools don’t teach marketing. Through presentations and one-on-one meetings, we train attorneys new to the profession on developing a marketing mindset. Our lawyers learn how to identify their target audience, develop an “elevator speech” and network effectively. They also discover how to develop business from existing clients, both within their own practice area and through cross-marketing our firm’s other practices.

With so many practice groups, it can be challenging to remember all of the areas in which we practice. Our bi-annual What We Do program is a great reminder that a single client can have multiple touchpoints within the firm. With so many disciplines under one roof, there is little reason for clients to go elsewhere for their legal needs.

Intended for associates in admission seven years or more, the intention of these meetings is to shift our senior associates’ focus from primarily professional development to business development. Our Director of Marketing & Communications provides associates with guidance in developing a marketing plan. Associates are tasked with creating goals and formulating the objectives, strategies and tactics needed to achieve these goals.

LP Network
Designed to focus on business development support through collaboration, communication and collegiality, our LP Network is made up of energetic, newly promoted partners. The LP Network meets monthly to focus on cross-marketing opportunities, skills trainings, group discussions and brainstorming to help all be more successful in their business development initiatives.
