Rivkin Radler Director of Marketing and Communications, Laurie Bloom was featured in Newsday’s piece, “Making the Side Gig Work.” The article focused on professionals that take on a “side job” alongside their initial career. Laurie has been an adjunct professor at Hofstra University for over a decade.

When discussing the focus of her class of PR students each year she mentions that they take on two nonprofits to assist with their goals. “It exposes students to the challenges that charities face,” says Bloom.

“The firm’s very involved in the not-for-profit community, for example serving on boards, and this student-nonprofit engagement further enhances those efforts and involvement,” says Krinick

In addition, he says, “We encourage all of our employees to follow their passions. To the extent we’re able to provide the mechanism to help them [with] that, we’re very supportive.”
