George Choriatis represents large physician group practices, hospitals and health systems, community health centers, ambulatory surgery centers, kidney dialysis facilities, outpatient care centers, nursing facilities, and healthcare industry consultants and service providers in a variety of business transactions.
A partner in Rivkin Radler’s Health Services and Corporate & Commercial Practice Groups, George counsels clients on health care and corporate matters that include the formation of integrated delivery systems, the development of performance-based compensation arrangements, the formation of physician practices, the qualification of community health centers as “federally qualified health centers,” the formation of ancillary services joint ventures, the sale and purchase of skilled nursing facilities, and general corporate, commercial, and healthcare regulatory matters.
George is a frequent speaker on the ongoing health care payment reform initiatives that seek to change the way Medicare and other payors reimburse providers, as well on as the various demonstration programs and pilot projects taking place throughout the country, including performance-based payment programs, medical home programs, episode payment arrangements, bundled payments, shared-savings initiatives, and global payment arrangements.
