Norton Travis was quoted in the Part B News article, “To ease doctor-departing woes, write careful terms into the contract.”

Part of the publication’s practice management series, the story covers the best practices for physician employment contracts. Norton says that an organization should hold fast to the restrictive covenants in an employment agreement, even if the physician tries to negotiate them upon their exit. “If it’s known within the organization that Dr. Jones was able to get out of his contract without being held to the covenant, then you don’t want to create a precedent where other people feel like they can [get the same terms].”
