Norton Travis, of counsel at Rivkin Radler, has been named to the Long Island Business News 2025 Long Island Business Influencers: Healthcare & Healthcare Law list, recognizing individuals who are driving innovation and shaping the future of healthcare on Long Island.

With a focus on mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures for both for-profit and nonprofit healthcare providers, Norton’s career has spanned a broad array of experience, including high-level executive positions for major national and regional healthcare companies.

Norton began his career as a corporate lawyer and went on to co-found a firm that evolved into the largest dedicated healthcare law practice in the New York metropolitan area. As chairman of the firm’s corporate department, he played a key role in structuring hundreds of complex healthcare transactions.

Most notably, he served as project coordinator and led the financing efforts for the $350 million New York Proton Center—a specialty cancer care partnership composed of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Montefiore Health System and Mount Sinai Health System, three of the largest healthcare systems in the metropolitan New York area.

“It is an honor to be recognized by Long Island Business News as one of Long Island’s Business Influencers in Healthcare & Healthcare Law,” Norton said. “This recognition reflects the important work being done by our team to advance healthcare access, innovation, and legal excellence across Long Island. I’m proud to stand alongside so many dedicated professionals who are making a meaningful impact in our communities.”
