Savino Receives 2019 Hall of Fame Award
November 13, 2019 |Rivkin Radler Partner William M. Savino became a recipient of Long Island Business News’ Hall of Fame Award. The award recognizes the most distinguished leaders in the Long Island business community. Induction into the Hall of Fame is a high honor for those who demonstrate a commitment to excellence: past, present and future.
Savino, who was Rivkin Radler’s managing partner for 13 years, is a partner in the firm’s Insurance Coverage and Commercial Litigation practice groups, a role that finds him litigating before trial and appellate courts throughout the United States. He also serves on the distinguished panel of neutrals at National Arbitration Mediation.
An active speaker across the United States, Savino has presented workshops on reinsurance, fracking liabilities, medical monitoring “no injury” suits, privacy, terrorism-related liabilities, and the relationship between primary and excess insurers.
Savino, a lion in the Long Island business and legal communities, is a member of the Long Island Association’s Executive Committee. He also serves on the board of directors of the Fireman’s Fund Indemnity Corp. and the Insurance Federation of New York, Inc. He is a past chairman of the board of Long Island’s United Way. He is also a past chair of the Nassau County Bar Association Judiciary Committee and New York’s Tenth Judicial District’s Independent Judicial Election Qualification Commission.
Savino has been listed as one of the 100 Most Influential Long Islanders by Long Island Business News and among the Top 50 Most Influential Long Islanders by Long Island Press. In addition, Long Island Business News gave him the New York ICON Award in 2017.
The 2019 edition of the well-respected Legal 500 recommended Savino in the insurance: advice to insurers category. Chambers and Partners in 2018 and 2019 named Savino a “Ranked Practitioner” in Band 3 within the insurance: dispute resolution: insurer in New York” category. He has been named to the 2017-2020 Best Lawyers in America in Insurance and Insurance Litigation by U.S. News & World Report and has been named a 2016 Top Rated Lawyer in Insurance Law by American Lawyer Media. Savino also has been recognized as a New York Super Lawyer, 2008-2019, and is AV Preeminent-rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
