November 1, 2018 | Real Estate, Zoning & Land Use | Commercial Litigation

Rivkin Radler is pleased to welcome Edward Jaffe, Burton Ross and Steve Miller, formerly Jaffe, Ross & Light LLP, to the Firm.

The trio brings decades of experience in commercial real estate; landlord tenant litigation; enforcement of Judgments; mechanics liens; commercial collections; arbitration and mediation; and shareholder, partner and membership disputes.

Edward Jaffe joins the Firm as senior counsel. Ed has extensive litigation and arbitration experience in the real estate and construction industry as well as the fashion world. He has successfully resolved hundreds of arbitrations, mediations and bench and jury trials during his years of practice.

Burton Ross has represented commercial owners, developers and tenants in litigation and transactional matters and has also represented landlords in bankruptcy courts. He has tried numerous non-jury and jury trials, as well handled arbitrations, appraisal proceedings and mediations. Burton has also prepared and argued appeals in the Appellate Divisions in New York. His extensive knowledge of the New York City building and fire codes have made him well-versed in the operations of the New York City Department of Buildings.

Steven Miller represents parties in the purchase and sale of commercial buildings, cooperative apartments, condominiums and single-family homes; borrowers obtaining loans; landlords and tenants in commercial lease transactions; and contractors and owners in construction matters. He also handles litigation involving real estate, business disputes, real estate brokerage, construction issues and enforcement of judgments.

“These three fine attorneys bring additional depth to our Construction and Real Estate, Zoning & Land Use practice groups,” said Managing Partner Evan H. Krinick. “I look forward to working with them.”
