Murphy and Han Secure Dissolution
July 19, 2019 |On July 17, 2019, Casey Murphy and Lawrence Han secured a dissolution of De’An’s Pork Products, Inc. on behalf of their client, a 50% owner in the sausage manufacturing company.
Over the objection and resistance of the other 50% owner, the Hon. Leon Ruchelsman of the New York Supreme Court in Kings County issued an Order of the Court permitting the dissolution of this closely held family business that had been in operation for almost 50 years.
The shareholders were at an impasse on how to operate the business and the opposing party had resisted all efforts to effectuate a sale and transfer of the client’s interest in the company.
Accordingly, in a summary proceeding, the Court ordered dissolution of the corporation.
