Barry Levy, Managing Partner of Rivkin Radler, announced that Spencer Romoff has joined the firm’s Corporate, Real Estate, and Tax Practice Groups in its New York City office, bringing 20 years of in-house real estate transactional experience.

Spencer Romoff advises owners, developers, and investors on complex real estate transactions, including development, financing, acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, and other transactional matters. His practice includes joint venture formations and agreements; debt and equity financing, including construction financing, bridge loans, permanent financing, and other term debt; acquisitions and dispositions; real estate development and construction; adaptive reuse and rehabilitation; leasing; distressed debt restructuring and note purchases; development-related agreements; and tax-sensitive ownership and investment structures.

In 2020, Spencer co-founded a New York City real estate investment and development business and served as its managing partner. In that role, he led transactional and operational matters, including strategic partner arrangements, financing, acquisitions and dispositions, development, and asset management. He also spent 15 years as executive vice president and general counsel of a privately held real estate investment and development company, where he oversaw development projects and investments.

“Spencer’s extensive experience as both a real estate executive and transactional attorney gives him a practical, business-minded perspective that is invaluable to our clients,” said Barry Levy, Rivkin Radler’s managing partner. “His deep understanding of complex real estate transactions, development projects, and financing strengthens what is already a pre-eminent real estate group.”

“I couldn’t be more pleased to join Rivkin Radler,” Spencer said. “The firm’s full-service platform will allow me to assist and advise my clients not only on their real estate matters, but also across the full spectrum of their business and personal needs.”
