Maldonado and Lynch Elected to LIHBA Leadership Positions

Rivkin Radler associates Edwin Maldonado and Jessica Flores Lynch have been elected to leadership roles with the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association (LIHBA). Maldonado will serve as treasurer on the Executive Board, and Lynch will serve on the Board of Directors.

Edwin has been an active LIHBA member for the past four years. In his new role as treasurer, he will help oversee the organization’s finances and maintain its tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3). An associate in the firm’s Insurance Fraud & Recovery Practice Group, Edwin focuses his practice on insurance fraud defense and no-fault insurance matters. He previously served Nassau County as a Senior Assistant District Attorney in the Vehicular Crimes Bureau of the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, where he handled all phases of criminal prosecution including vehicular homicide investigations, grand jury presentments, pre-trial evidentiary hearings, and trials.

An active LIHBA member for the past two years, Jessica will serve a one-year term on the Board of Directors. In this role, she will promote the advancement of Hispanic legal professionals on Long Island and support the organization’s mission. Jessica is an associate in the firm’s Insurance Coverage Practice Group, where she represents insurance carriers in insurance coverage disputes and related litigation. She handles all aspects of litigation, with a practice focused primarily on first-party property and life insurance matters. Her work includes analyzing policy language, evaluating complex coverage issues, and developing litigation strategies.

Founded in 2001, LIHBA is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to supporting Hispanic attorneys, law students, and the broader Hispanic community across Long Island and Queens.
