Lunch and Learn Series: OMIG’s FINALIZED Regulations: What You Need to Do – NOW!

Please join us on February 9 as Partner Bob Hussar and Associates Ashley Algazi and Mary Connolly present on OMIG’s finalized regulations.

On December 28th, the Office of Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG) released their FINAL compliance and self-disclosure regulations. The regulations implement 2020 changes to OMIG’s statutory authority to implement and oversee:

• mandatory provider compliance programs,
• Medicaid managed care fraud, waste and abuse prevention programs,
• and a comprehensive self-disclosure program.

The FINAL regulations significantly impact both payers and providers.

Hear from Bob Hussar, a compliance professional and former OMIG First Deputy on OMIG’s changes to New York’s Mandatory Compliance Program requirements. Bob will be joined by Ashley Algazi, who will discuss new requirements for Managed Care Organizations, and Mary Connolly, who will discuss changes to OMIG’s self-disclosure process. The program will include a discussion of the changes and implementation best practices.

The program will be moderated by Robert Hussar, a partner in Rivkin Radler’s Compliance, Investigations & White Collar and Health Services practice groups.
