Krinick, NYSBA Say Law Firms Should Be 1st to Open

May 4, 2020

A May 1 Long Island Business News article quotes Evan Krinick on the topic of reopening the economy after the COVID-19 pandemic. He is one of a group of attorneys advocating on behalf of law firms as part of the “Restarting the Economy Work Group,” which was started by the president of the New York State Bar Association.

The group plans to send a letter to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo about easing current stay-at-home restrictions for law firms.

Attorneys are “essential,”Evan said, noting that the services provided by law firms “are part of the economic engine.”

The group’s recommendations for reopening law firms would “coincide with the gradual opening of the court system,” Evan said.
