H-1B Visa Lottery Announcements to Arrive Shortly

April 12, 2018 | Henry M. Mascia | Employment & Labor

On April 11, USCIS used a computer-generated random selection process to choose enough H-1B petitions to meet the congressionally mandated cap of 85,000 for fiscal year 2019. USCIS received 190,098 H-1B petitions during the filing period that began on April 2.

Applicants whose petitions have been selected will receive a receipt notice within the next two weeks.  USCIS will reject and return all unselected petitions with their filing fees.
