July 9, 2018 |John Diviney was quoted in the article, “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” in Long Island Business News. The article focused on the new law that was enacted in New York City last October informing employers they cannot ask for a potential candidates current salary.
Diviney informed, “The new law will change salary negotiation dynamics between the employer and employee, benefiting employees.”
“The employer is not going to know what the salary of the applicant currently is or has been previously. It will help women, and it will also help males who were in jobs that paid less,” says Diviney.
