Rivkin Radler is pleased to announce that associate Wayne Cox has been named to the MENTOR New York Young Professionals Advisory Board (YPAB) at the request of firm partner and MENTOR New York Advisory Board member, Matthew Spero, and MENTOR New York CEO, Brenda Jimenez. The YPAB supports the organization’s annual MENTOR of the Year Awards fundraiser, among other activities.

YPAB is a group of emerging philanthropic leaders driven by the mission of increasing quality mentoring opportunities for all youth. They are passionate advocates for MENTOR New York—committed to raising awareness for its work while advancing its philanthropic and professional goals. The MENTOR of the Year Awards fundraiser enables the organization to provide no-cost services to mentoring programs, mentors, and the young minds they guide to ensure budgets don’t limit benefits.

Cox concentrates his law practice on complex first-party and third-party insurance claims and various emerging insurance coverage issues. In addition to his legal career, for over five years he has mentored young students through programs offered by the Villanova University School of Business and the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University.

“Having been a mentor to young students for several years now, I am excited to continue this work through my involvement with MENTOR New York and its mission to connect mentors with mentees throughout the state of New York,” Cox said.

MENTOR New York has been creating, enhancing, and advocating for quality youth mentorships for over 30 years with a mission to increase the quality and quantity of mentoring relationships and close the mentoring gap in New York State.
