Wayne M. Cox is an Associate in Rivkin Radler’s Insurance Coverage Practice Group. He concentrates his practice on complex first-party and third-party claims, including bad faith, contractual and common law indemnity, subrogation, intellectual property, personal and advertising injury, construction defect, environmental, product liability, complex tort, and other emerging coverage issues.

Prior to joining Rivkin Radler, Wayne represented contractors, real estate developers, and insurers in complex disputes. He has substantial experience in risk transfer and representing clients across a variety of commercial and general litigation matters involving breach of contract, intellectual property, construction, real estate, and property damage claims.

Wayne has written extensively on a variety of legal topics and has been published in the Albany Law School’s Law Review, the University of Virginia School of Law’s Sports & Entertainment Law Journal, and the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law’s IDEA Law Review.

Wayne earned his bachelor’s degree from the Villanova University School of Business in 2012 and his juris doctorate from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2015. Wayne is also a graduate of Chaminade High School.

During law school, Wayne was chosen to participate as a Law Student Reporter at the American Bar Association: Section of IP Law’s 30th Annual Conference. He was also named a Hofstra Law Public Service Award winner.

Wayne is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New York City Bar Association, and the Chaminade Alumni Lawyers’ Association.

Since 2019, The Legal 500 has recommended Rivkin Radler’s Insurance Coverage practice in the insurance: advice to insurers category. Additionally, the group has been recognized in the Chambers USA directory since 2015.
