Syma Shulman Levine focuses her practice on health care transactions and general corporate matters, representing commercial businesses, medical practices and individuals in a variety of settings. She also has substantial experience in employment counseling and litigation, as well as general commercial litigation.
Syma counsels physicians and physician practice groups with their practice development, acquisitions and separations. Her practice includes counseling on regulatory and compliance issues, development of business structures, and implementation of compliance plans.
Syma provides her individual and corporate clients with advice on shareholder and operating agreements as well as employment agreements and related issues (hiring, discipline, terminations and benefits); and providing or reviewing the relevant contracts, policy statements and manuals. In addition, she has substantial experience in executive employment, compensation and separation agreements. Syma has often dealt with novel approaches to employment issues, including restrictive covenants and protection of trade secrets. She also has had significant success in initiating and defending all types of litigation.
