March Lunch and Learn Series- Physician Employment Arrangements: Assuring Compliance while Maximizing Opportunities and Obligations

On Thursday, March 7, the next installment of Rivkin Radler’s Healthcare Compliance Lunch & Learn series will be presented by Tamika Hardy, Ada Janocinska and Syma Levine. The program, “Physician Employment Arrangements: Assuring Compliance while Maximizing Opportunities and Obligations” will take place from 12 noon to 1 PM Eastern time via Zoom.

Some of the topics covered will be:

• Anatomy of the Physician Employment Agreement: Discussion of key provisions related to term, termination, compliance with statutory mandates, employer policies, compensation, schedule, location, indemnification, and audits.
• Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark issues: A review of the requirements under federal Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law that apply to employment arrangements, including a discussion on how compensation arrangements can be permissibly structured under these laws.
• Restrictive covenants: A discussion of the current law on noncompete agreements in New York and whether they will be banned in the near future.

Participants will be eligible for 1.2 CCB credits and 1 CLE credit in Professional Practice.
