Stanley J. Tartaglia, Jr.
Counsel
Stan thinks it’s no coincidence that “listen” and “silent” contain the same letters. He believes that listening is important to understand clients’ particular needs so he can mitigate their risk, communicate directly about the strengths and weaknesses of their case, and provide information so that clients can make smart decisions.
Stanley J. Tartaglia, Jr. represents professionals in the defense of claims involving medical malpractice. His areas of practice also include construction litigation and insurance law. Stan has successfully represented individuals, businesses, corporations, and professionals at the trial and appellate levels.
Stan has obtained summary judgment in the defense of his clients in numerous cases, including complex medical malpractice litigation, multimillion-dollar construction cases, and substantial personal injury claims. He has authored and argued appeals before the Appellate Divisions in both the Third and Second Departments. Stan has also participated in ethics committee meetings for a major downstate hospital, which resulted in, among other things, the promulgation of institutional policies concerning the medical treatment of minors and individuals with varying religious beliefs.
Prior to joining Rivkin Radler, Stan was a senior litigation associate at a local law firm. He has a passion for achieving results for his clients through a balanced and reasoned approach, which focuses on the specialized and distinct needs of his clients.
A proud graduate of Syracuse University College of Law, Stan was a member of the Thomas Moore Society and was an avid flag football player. During his time in law school, Stan also tutored football players in microeconomics and macroeconomics.
Stan enjoys hiking, camping, circuit training, and traveling.
