Ryan is a litigator experienced in high-stakes disputes. His approach is straightforward and direct. He maintains a solid grasp of his clients’ business needs and desired outcomes to help them make the best decisions. “Dollars and cents mixed with common sense” is his mantra.
Ryan T. Hyde practices civil litigation. He is a commercial litigator with trial experience in commercial, bankruptcy, real estate, and business litigation.
Ryan has represented institutional and private equity lenders, midsize and small business owners, real estate developers, property owners, homeowners’ associations, and restaurants in all aspects of civil law from intake through trial to appeal. He has prosecuted and defended residential and commercial foreclosures and evictions, bankruptcy preference and discharge actions, garnishments, deficiency judgments, foreign judgment domestications, and business dissolutions. Ryan has tried cases in Florida state and federal court.
Prior to law school, Ryan worked in the Executive Office of the governor in Tallahassee, FL, and was part of the White House’s Site Advance Team from 2003 through 2005.

Active in the Jacksonville Bar, Ryan was on the Jacksonville Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section Board of Governors from 2014 through 2019. He also serves as the Jacksonville liaison to the Middle District of Florida Bankruptcy Court and was previously a member of the Florida Coastal School of Law’s Alumni Board of Directors. Ryan was appointed to the Middle District of Florida Bankruptcy Court’s Virtual Consult Pro Bono Project Committee, which created a program to assist pro se individuals understand and navigate the bankruptcy process. He was recognized by the chief bankruptcy judge for the Middle District of Florida for his contributions to this committee.
As an ambassador for the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund, Ryan assists with a variety of charities in the North Florida area. He has served on the planning committee for the Jacksonville Zoo’s ExZooberation fundraiser. Ryan is also part of the Gamma Theta Leadership Team for Sigma Chi at the University of Florida.
Ryan was selected as a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers for 2016 through 2019 and named to Florida Super Lawyers from 2020 through 2023. He was named an Up & Comer by Florida Trend magazine in 2017, which also selected him as a Florida Legal Elite from 2020 through 2022. He is a member of the Florida Blue Key leadership honor society at the University of Florida.
