Lisa Bonanni is an associate in the firm’s Insurance Coverage Group.
Lisa has handled complex coverage matters with a focus on construction/labor law, professional liability, and commercial property and casualty claims. She has significant experience handling coverage matters from inception to trial, as well as securing favorable outcomes for insurers through the successful litigation and mediation of coverage matters.
Lisa gained experience litigating property coverage claims and has advised insurers on matters involving bad faith claims brought by insureds, as well as preparing and litigating rescission actions due to an insured’s material misrepresentation or fraud.
In addition to litigation expertise, Lisa has aided clients with various coverage issues. She is experienced in advising insurers on a wide range of issues, including additional insured coverage, priority of coverage, and the pursuit of and defense against declaratory insurance coverage matters. She has also defended insurers and insureds in personal injury litigation involving motor vehicle accidents and premises liability.
A first-generation attorney, Lisa attended St. John’s School of Law where she was an active member of the mock trial team. As an alumna, Lisa participated in the law school’s Alumnae Leadership Council’s mentoring program where she mentored recent graduates.
In her spare time, Lisa is an active member of the Long Island running community.
