Joseph Pidel

Associate

Joe is an Associate in Rivkin Radler’s Commercial Litigation and Liability Defense Practice Groups. He focuses his practice on a variety of matters, including defending clients accused of wrongdoing, negligence, a violation of civil or employment rights, and representing clients in high-stakes commercial disputes.

While at Albany Law School, Joe earned valuable legal experience. He interned for Hon. Christine M. Clark, New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department. He also held internships at the Litigation Bureau of the New York State Attorney General’s Office and the Special Victims Unit of the Albany County District Attorney’s Office. In addition, he worked as a clerk for a personal injury law firm in New York State’s Capital Region.

Throughout law school, Joe served as the Executive Director of the Anthony V. Cardona ’70 Moot Court Program, as the Student Bar Association’s Representative At-Large of the Albany County Bar Association, and as a member of the Albany Law School Student Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Joe’s active involvement with Albany Law School’s Moot Court program earned him the Robert A. Barker Award and induction into the National Order of Barristers.

Joe continues to volunteer his time to Albany Law School by judging Moot Court competitions and serving as a mentor in the school’s Alumni Initiative in Mentoring program. In addition to volunteering for Albany Law School, Joe is the Chair of the Albany County Bar Association’s Mock Trial Committee. 

After graduating law school, Joe was an associate at a Hudson Valley-based firm, where he worked on general liability, insurance defense, and commercial and municipal matters.
