For each case he handles, Joe brings a strong sense of motivation and dedication to understanding his clients’ goals and defenses. He finds it rewarding to identify and develop comprehensive strategies to assist them in obtaining effective outcomes.
Joseph Pidel is an associate in Rivkin Radler’s Commercial Litigation and Complex Torts Practice Groups, while also maintaining a general law practice. Joe frequently represents agencies that provide residential and habilitation services that are accused of wrongdoing, including negligence. Joe also regularly assists construction companies in defending against claims of negligence and violations of Labor Law statutes, as well as with collecting payments for labor performed. In addition to the foregoing, Joe represents clients in complex personal injury matters and high-stakes commercial disputes.
Joe’s past experiences include, but are not limited to, working and/or interning for an Appellate Division judge, the Albany County District Attorney’s Office, New York State Attorney General’s Office, and a private law firm in the Hudson Valley. Prior to practicing as an attorney, Joe earned his Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, which he finds assists him today in thoroughly analyzing facts and legal issues and understanding the appropriate strategies.
When he is not working or volunteering, Joe enjoys golfing, visiting local restaurants, and walking with his dog.

Joe is an active member of the Albany Law School community, where he frequently volunteers to judge moot court competitions and attends alumni events. He also serves on the Foundation Board of Directors for La Salle School, a multi-faceted human services agency who provides, amongst other things, education, aftercare, and preventive services.
Joe is committed to continuing to find new opportunities to volunteer his time towards New York state’s Capital Region.
