John Mulvaney is an associate in Rivkin Radler’s Insurance Fraud Practice Group.

John helps insurers prosecute civil lawsuits under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, including affirmative actions to recover insurer claim payments to physicians, medical clinics, attorneys, public adjusters, and others involved in complex insurance fraud schemes.

Prior to joining Rivkin Radler, John represented insurers in affirmative, civil RICO actions as an associate at a New York City law firm. John has substantial experience with virtually all aspects of federal litigation, including conducting fact investigations, drafting pleadings and motions, pursuing discovery, engaging in settlement negotiations, taking depositions, and arguing in court.  Before entering private practice, John clerked for the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit as a staff attorney.

John graduated cum laude from Brooklyn Law School, where he served as an associate editor for the Brooklyn Law Review and Vice President of the Moot Court Honor Society. John also interned for federal judges and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.

Prior to attending law school, John performed orchestral and chamber music as a freelance classical trumpeter. John also was a member of the SUNY Purchase College baseball team.
