Jamie Milfort is an Associate in Rivkin Radler’s Insurance Fraud Practice group. She focuses her practice on insurance defense and no-fault insurance fraud matters.

Prior to joining Rivkin Radler, Jamie was an Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office.

As an Assistant District Attorney in the Trial Bureau, Jamie prosecuted a wide variety of cases including assaults, DWIs, DUIs, robberies, burglaries, gun possession, grand larceny and drug-related offenses. Jamie handled the prosecution of these cases from their inception at arrest to their conclusion at sentencing and at all intermediate stages including investigation, Grand Jury, hearing, and trial. Additionally, Jamie worked alongside members of the New York City Police Department (NYPD) in drafting search warrants.

While a student at Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, Jamie served as the Recruitment Editor for the Moot Court Honors Board and was a member of the Touro Law Honors Program. Additionally, she served as the Day Vice-President and Membership Coordinator of the Black Law Students’ Association (“BLSA”), and President of the Christian Legal Society.

In 2017, Jamie was named a New York State Pro Bono Scholar, allowing her to take the bar exam prior to graduation. As a Pro Bono Scholar, Jamie spent her last semester as a student attorney with the Suffolk County Children’s Law Bureau. In this role, she drafted motions and conducted guardianship proceedings advocating for undocumented youth less than twenty-one years of age to gain Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (“SIJS”). For her role, she received the Touro Faculty Award for Exceptional Service to the Community.

Jamie is the Corresponding Secretary to the Executive Board of the Amistad Long Island Black Bar Association. She is actively involved in the community on Long Island, volunteering her time as a youth leader at her local church for the past seven years.
