Elliot’s practice sits at the intersection of creativity, capital, and structure. He closely follows markets and investments to stay attuned to how capital is deployed in sectors like music and other intellectual-property driven asset classes. Elliot is a former session musician and a Berklee College of Music graduate.
Elliot is a partner in the firm’s Corporate Practice Group advising businesses and investors on a broad range of transactional matters.
Elliot represents clients ranging from small and midsize private companies to private investment funds in connection with mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and recapitalizations, joint venture transactions, debt and equity financings, and corporate governance matters. He has particular experience representing financial buyers and operating businesses in the music industry in transactions involving the purchase and sale of recorded music and publishing catalogs and operating music businesses, as well as commercial licensing arrangements, joint ventures, and secured lending transactions.
Elliot also serves as an adjunct professor at Pratt Institute’s graduate program, where he teaches Intellectual Property Law and Business Law.
