Avigael C. Fyman
PartnerAvigael C. Fyman litigates a wide array of commercial claims.
A Partner in Rivkin Radler’s Professional Liability and Directors & Officers Liability Practice Groups, Avigael represents attorneys, accountants, directors and officers, insurance agents, brokers, and third-party administrators in suits alleging malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, defamation, fraud, misrepresentation, and ethical violations. She defends tech companies in claims involving the enforceability of terms of service and has counseled insurers on coverage issues under Cyber Liability policies. She also counsels insurers on coverage issues.
Avigael has broad litigation experience. She has handled employment matters, commercial real estate disputes, products and premises liability claims, and intellectual property disputes.
A frequent contributor to the advisory newsletter of the ABA Standing Committee on Lawyer’s Professional Liability, Avigael reports on important case developments and legal trends and offers practice pointers for lawyers. Avigael has also lectured on legal writing and has published an article in the St. Mary’s Law Journal concerning First Amendment issues in education policy, available at 37 ST. MARY’S L.J. 607 (2006).
Additionally, she has co-authored an article with Rivkin Radler partner Shari Claire Lewis entitled, “Lawyers: Social Networking’s Impact on the Practice of Law” (Defense Research Institute, Summer 2009).
Avigael is active in the Friends of St. Mary’s Committee and serves on the St. Mary’s Healthcare System Quality Committee. While at Harvard Law School, Avigael served as president of the Jewish Law Students Association.
