Avigael advises and represents attorneys in all aspects of their practice. She enjoys the variety of her work, and the opportunity to gain input from other attorneys at the firm who provide their own expertise to achieve her clients’ goals.
Avigael C. Fyman has broad commercial litigation experience. She handles employment matters, commercial real estate disputes, products and premises liability claims, and intellectual property disputes.
She also represents attorneys in claims of malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty and fraud in the handling of commercial real estate matters, corporate transactions, commercial litigation, health care, trusts and estates, and intellectual property matters.
Defending attorneys in federal and state attorney grievance proceedings, Avigael also counsels attorneys on legal ethics, conflicts of interests, risk management, and professional responsibility. She defends insurance companies, insurance agents, insurance brokers, and third-party administrators in professional malpractice claims, and has represented accountants, directors and officers, and other professionals in claims of malpractice, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, misrepresentation, and defamation. She also counsels insurers on coverage matters.
Avigael has lectured on legal writing and published an article in the St. Mary’s Law Journal concerning First Amendment issues in education policy, available at 37 ST. MARY’S L.J. 607 (2006). Additionally, she co-authored an article entitled, “Lawyers: Social Networking’s Impact on the Practice of Law” (Defense Research Institute, Summer 2009).
While at Harvard Law School, she served as president of the Jewish Law Students Association.

Avigael serves on the Quality and Risk Management Board of the St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children.
She also serves as the chair of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Ethics Committee and has lectured on various topics related to professional liability claims, risk management, and legal ethics.
In 2016, she received Long Island Business News’ Leadership in Law: Associate Award. In 2020, the publication named her to its 40 Under 40 list.
