A member of Rivkin Radler’s Insurance Fraud Practice Group, Andrea C. Sacks focuses her practice on investigating suspicious claims and litigates on behalf of insurers to recover fraudulent payouts.
She counsels automobile insurers on claims-handling practices and investigation techniques in a collaborative effort to develop fraud detection and deterrence strategies. Before joining the firm, Andrea was in-house counsel with AIG Insurance Company, where she handled large-scale fraud investigations and coverage litigations.
Andrea plays an integral role in Rivkin Radler’s mentoring program, both in Uniondale and the Capital Region, where she has worked diligently to integrate the Insurance Fraud Practice Group across three offices and support the growth of the group’s associates. She has received numerous accolades in recognition of her efforts. In addition to training and mentoring the associates, Andrea has taught a continuing legal education course on no-fault law and procedures.

Andrea serves as a co-founder of a not-for-profit that gives the gift of performing arts to underprivileged children. She strongly believes that exposure to the performing arts at a young age promotes high academic achievement and self-confidence, helps children to collaborate with others to reach a common goal, and fosters acceptance among different cultures. Andrea has also led Rivkin Radler’s fundraising efforts for Light the Night, an annual event that raises money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Long Island Business News recognized Andrea with the Leadership in Law Counsel Award in 2020.
