Shea Appointed to 4 BCBA Leadership Positions
June 3, 2026Brian Shea, a partner at Rivkin Radler, has been appointed to several leadership positions within the Bergen County Bar Association (BCBA). Among the new appointments, Shea has been named co-chair of the newly formed Artificial Intelligence Committee. In addition, he was appointed chair of the CLE Committee and re-appointed as co-chair of the association’s Probate Litigation & Guardianship Committee and Elder Law Committee.
As an active member and trustee of the BCBA, Brian helps to manage the affairs and property of the association and votes on matters impacting its governance. He also serves as a liaison between the membership and the court, addressing concerns raised by members and communicating issues brought forward by the court. Additionally, in 2024, in collaboration with the with the BCBA and the Bergen County Surrogate—Brian established New Jersey’s first Guardianship Mentor Program to support vulnerable citizens and aid the court in resolving guardianship matters.
A partner in the firm’s Elder Law and Trusts & Estates practice groups, Brian advises clients in the areas of guardianship litigation, chancery litigation, and estate and trust administration and litigation. He often performs services as court appointed counsel for allegedly incapacitated individuals in guardianship matters and as trustee/administrator in relation to contested chancery matters.
The BCBA is the professional association of the Bergen County Bar, founded in December 1898.
