Rivkin Radler Welcomes Four New Attorneys

Uniondale, New York ? September 20132 – Rivkin Radler LLP is proud to announce the addition of Sandra Buchanan, Gregory Mitchell, Joseph Sulzbach and Clara Villarreal.

Sandra (Irby) Buchanan, of Jamaica, NY, has joined the Litigation & Appeals Practice Group.  Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Buchanan worked at the New York State Court of Appeals where her responsibilities included conducting research and recommending solutions for pending appeals, motions and criminal leave applications; preparation of bench memoranda and reports; and drafting and editing opinions.

Ms. Buchanan earned her Juris Doctor summa cum laude from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center.

Gregory Mitchell, of Eastport, NY, has joined the firm as an Associate in the Health Services Practice Group.  Mr. Mitchell focuses his practice on corporate and compliance matters for the healthcare industry.  He represents clients with general business transactions, regulatory compliance issues and corporate matters while addressing federal and state anti-kickback statues, self-referral statutes and privacy rules.

Mr. Mitchell earned his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law. 

Joseph Sulzbach, of New York, NY, has joined the firm as an Associate in the firm’s Litigation & Appeals Practice Group. Mr. Sulzbach handles all aspects of commercial litigation in federal and state court. Additionally, He is involved in counseling clients and litigating matters related to fraud in the healthcare and automobile insurance industries.

Mr. Sulzbach earned his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Hofstra University School of Law, where he served as an Associate Editor of the Hofstra Law Review.

Clara Villarreal, of Staten Island, NY, has joined the firm as Counsel in the Litigation & Appeals & Product Liability & Toxic Tort groups.  Ms. Villarreal specializes in the defense of high exposure, complex litigations including products liability, toxic tort, premises liability, construction/labor law cases, property damage and automotive liability claims.  Ms. Villarreal is an accomplished trial attorney with more than 20 years of diversified civil liability defense experience involving high exposure litigations. She has served as trial counsel to major corporations, insurance companies, municipalities, law firms and individual litigants in New York State and Federal Courts. She is a recognized leader with a superlative record of achievement as a trial attorney and has taken hundreds of cases to trial with over 100 verdicts in New York State and Federal Courts, combined.  

Ms. Villarreal earned her Juris Doctor from New York Law School.
