Rivkin Radler Featured in Holiday Celebrations Article

Rivkin Radler LLP was featured in the Long Island Business News article, “The party’s back on.”

The article explores how different companies on Long Island are celebrating the holidays this year, after being unable to last year due to the pandemic. According to the article, holiday parties are making a comeback this year. However, not all companies are celebrating with a party.

At Rivkin Radler, Director of Marketing & Communications Laurie Bloom stated that live events can be challenging for a large company. She explained, “Our partners felt it wasn’t the right time for a big in-person get together, so we came up with an idea for something that would be different but would reflect the true spirit of the holidays.” She continued, “We created something we’re calling ‘Project Holiday Happiness,’ where we are working to make the holidays happier for the children who are being supported by The Safe Center LI, whose mission is to protect, assist and empower the victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.”

This year, the firm is fully funding this special project to fulfill the wish lists of 52 children ranging from babies to 19-year-olds. The idea of Managing Partner Evan Krinick, the project is something the entire firm has gotten behind, with attorneys and staff pitching in to plan, shop, wrap and distribute the gifts. While the firm did a successful Zoom party last year, Krinick had the sense that Zoom fatigue has made video gatherings a bit less exciting. He feels that, in lieu of a big party, “we’re excited to be celebrating the holidays by bringing some happiness to those in need.”
