Michael Balboni and Amy Wiedmann received Long Island Business News’ Leadership in Law Award

Rivkin Radler is proud to announce that Michael Balboni and Amy Wiedmann have received Long Island Business News’ Leadership in Law Award, in the categories of Of Counsel and Associate, respectively. This honor recognizes individuals who demonstrate dedication, hard work, skill, tenacity and excellence, as well as leadership qualities in both the legal profession and in the community.

Michael A. L. Balboni, of New York City, is a former New York State Senator and Senior Homeland Security and Law Enforcement official for the State of New York, helps expand the firm’s services in the areas of cyber, financial and energy-related security, public safety, healthcare, and government relations. Of Counsel to Rivkin Radler, Michael is a member of the Corporate & Commercial and Health Services Practice Groups.

Amy S. Wiedmann, of Baldwin, is an Associate in Rivkin Radler’s Appeals Practice Group.  Amy focuses her practice in investigating and litigating insurance fraud involving healthcare and property claims in no-fault, bodily injury, uninsured motorist and subrogation matters.  As a member of the Firm’s Litigation & Appeals Practice Group, Amy regularly represents national and regional insurers in fighting fraud in the healthcare and automobile industries in actions to recover payments to physicians, medical clinics, attorneys, public adjusters, and others as part of complex, large-scale insurance fraud and kickback schemes in federal and state litigation, arbitration and mediation.

Michael and Amy were recognized at a special awards dinner at the Crest Hollow Country Club on November 19.
