James Aiosa appointed as a member of the Nassau County Asian American Economic Advisory Commission

James Aiosa, a partner in the firm’s Litigation & Appeals and Product Liability & Toxic Tort Practice Groups has been appointed as a member of the newly constituted Nassau County Asian American Economic Advisory Commission.  The Commission’s principal purpose is to “assist the County in the development, advancement and betterment of economic, employment and business opportunities for Asian American residents of the County; and to encourage further investment in the County.”  The Commission will conduct bi-monthly meetings to review and assess various economic development plans of the County “as they relate to attracting members of the Asian American community to relocate to and invest in the County; and to develop and present to the County Executive or designee plans and/or programs for the improvement of economic growth and job creation in the County that would further attract Asian American businesses and professionals to relocate to the County; and to provide assistance in the implementation of such plans and programs.”  The Commission will also provide quarterly reports to the County Executive on the activities of the Commission, its recommendations and the progress of the various plans/programs.
