Wendy Hoey Sheinberg is partner to the firm in the Personal, Family & Business Planning Practice Group, concentrating in the areas of guardianship, elder law, special needs planning, trust and estate planning, and trust and estate administration.  She has presented at numerous seminars on elder law and estate planning, senior housing and probate and estate administration and has lectured for the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association and many other notable local civic and religious groups.

A prolific writer, Wendy has published articles in the New York State Bar Association Law Journal, the University of South Dakota Law Review, the NAELA Quarterly, Senior News and the Journal of the Nassau County Bar Association. Wendy has been interviewed and quoted in such notable publications and news services as U.S. News &World Report, the New York Times, Newsday and Dow Jones Newswire.

Wendy has been certified by the National Elder Law Foundation as a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA). She was selected as a Fellow of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). Selection as a Fellow is the highest honor bestowed by the Academy, signifying that an attorney’s peers recognize the lawyer as a model for others, and as an exceptional lawyer and leader. Selection as a Fellow acknowledges the highest degree of commitment to serving older persons and people with special needs. Wendy is also a member and former board member of NAELA.

Wendy has been named to Best Lawyers in America® for Elder Law and Trusts and Estates from 2013 to 2024. In addition, Best Lawyers in America named her a 2021 Lawyer of the Year.
