Tim Gonzalez is an associate in Rivkin Radler’s Commercial Litigation and Health Services Practice Groups. He has significant experience representing companies in the health care and pharmaceutical spaces. His work focuses on health care fraud and regulatory compliance issues, complex commercial disputes and intellectual property matters.
Tim represents and defends physicians, medical groups, laboratories and other licensed providers in a wide range of health care, administrative, and business law matters including Medicare/Medicaid audits and fraud investigations, private payer audits and appeals, medical staff discipline, credentialing and peer review, and professional licensing. His work also focuses on False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback litigation, internal investigations and regulatory compliance issues. He also regularly advises small business owners and entrepreneurs in the formation, sale and purchase of health care practices.
In federal and state courts, Tim litigates complex commercial matters, such as contractual, business torts and shareholder and partnership disputes. He also represents corporate clients in a variety of intellectual property and other matters, including restrictive covenants, unfair competition, trade secrets, copyright, trademark, and patent cases. In addition, Tim has experience litigating insurance matters and probate matters, where he has gained trial experience.
While in law school, Tim interned for the Honorable John Michael Vazquez in the Federal District Court of New Jersey. He also interned with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority’s (FINRA) litigation department. Following his graduation from law school, Tim served as clerk for the Honorable Bonnie J. Mizdol, A.J.S.C., New Jersey Superior Court.
