Stuart M. Bodoff briefs and argues appeals before New York state’s highest court, the Court of Appeals, and various federal and state courts.
His appeals are in cases ranging from the interpretation of conditions and exclusions in commercial property, disability, and automobile insurance policies to the timeliness or necessity of disclaimers and the validity of notices of cancellation.
Stu also represents insurance companies in appeals from actions to recover no-fault benefits, involving the eligibility of fraudulently incorporated medical providers to seek reimbursement of no-fault benefits and fraudulent billing by medical providers, among other issues.
Over the past 20 years, Stu’s appellate experience also has extended to premises liability, negligence, and professional malpractice cases.
