Steven M. Zuckermann represents insurance companies in complex insurance coverage disputes.
Steven has successfully represented insurers facing a broad range of challenging environmental claims, including refinery explosions, nationwide gasoline additive environmental contamination, residential mercury contamination, and oil and gas exploration and production cases. He litigates cases in federal and state courts throughout the country, and has particular experience in issues faced by insurers under Louisiana’s Direct Action statute.
Steven also has experience in arbitration, including arbitration under the English Arbitration Act.
Steven has drafted various types of manuscript policies, including excess liability, owners and contractors protective (OCP) insurance, and construction wrap-up policies, as well as various policy endorsements.
In addition to his insurance coverage work, Steven has represented and counseled clients with respect to business matters that include product safety recalls, employment contracts, intellectual property licensing, antitrust concerns, California Proposition 65 claims and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) claims. Steven also has served as national counsel for a major international luxury tableware manufacturer.
