Stephanie Besen is an associate (pending admission) in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group.

Stephanie previously interned in the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of New York under Judge Azrack. She also externed at the Department of Justice in the Eastern District of New York.

Stephanie earned her B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy, Politics and Law from Binghamton University, graduating magna cum laude, and her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, graduating cum laude.

At St. John’s, she served as a staff member on the Law Review and a competing member on the Polestino Trial Advocacy Institute. As a member of the team, she competed in three trial advocacy competitions, earning Best Overall Advocate and Semi-Finalist in the St. John’s Brian Peterson Memorial First-Year Trial Competition; Best Opening Statement and Semi-Finalist in Fordham Law School’s Judge Joseph Kelly Jr.’s Trial Competition; and Semi-Finalist in the Texas Young Lawyer’s Association Trial Competition Regionals. After her second year, Stephanie was a summer associate at Rivkin Radler.

Throughout her second and third year of law school, she received the Dean’s Award for Excellence for earning the highest grade in Trial Advocacy, Pre-Trial Advocacy, and Employment Discrimination. She also received the Pro Bono Service Award.

Prior to law school, Stephanie served as an immigration paralegal.

In her free time, Stephanie loves to attend workout classes, spend time with friends and family, and go on hikes.
