Sean N. Simensky concentrates his practice on general corporate representation of private national and international companies, not-for-profit corporations, physicians, group medical practices and other types of health services clients, including dentists and veterinarians, as well as representing financial institutions, private lenders and borrowers in loan transactions.
An associate in the Firm’s Business Dissolution, Corporate, Health Services, and Banking Practice Groups, Sean assists clients with general business matters, including selection and formation of business and practice entities, shareholder and operating agreements, employment and consulting agreements, and corporate severances. In addition, Sean supports clients in various aspects of mergers, acquisitions and dissolutions, including due diligence, negotiation, drafting and the closing of transactions.
Sean assists in the review and documentation of both commercial and real estate loans for financial institutions, private lenders and businesses in the commercial and real estate area.
Sean was honored by Long Island Business News as a 2019 “30 Under 30” award recipient.
Sean graduated valedictorian of his class from LIU Post with degrees in history, political science, and sociology. While attending Hofstra University School of Law, Sean served as Editor-in-Chief of the American College of Trust and Estate Law Counsel (ACTEC) Law Journal. At graduation, Sean received one of the school’s highest honors, the Outstanding Law Student Award. The recipient is chosen each year by the faculty and is awarded to “the graduating student who, in his/her three years at the Law School, has shown a combination of those qualities and abilities that are the ideals of the legal profession.”
Sean enjoys playing golf and tennis, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club.
Sean has been recognized in Ones to Watch by Best Lawyers in America® for 2021 and 2022. Ones to Watch is a recognition given to attorneys who are earlier in their careers for outstanding professional excellence in private practice.
Sean was also named a 2020 and 2021 New York Metro Super Lawyers Rising Star. The Risings Stars list is comprised of the top 2.5 percent of lawyers under the age of 40.
