Maureen chose to practice trusts and estates law because it allows her to build long-term relationships with her clients based on trust and mutual respect. Her ability to navigate complex tax issues combined with a holistic approach to each client’s personal situation enables her to effectively advise clients in their personal planning as well as guide them through challenging times upon the passing of a loved one.
Maureen A. Glackin counsel in Rivkin Radler’s Trusts & Estates Practice Group. Her practice focuses on sophisticated estate planning for individual clients, estate and gift taxation, and estate and trust administration.
Maureen advises high net-worth individuals in the establishment and management of estate plans to minimize and obviate estate taxes, including the preparation of wills and trusts, advising grantors and trustees in decanting complex trusts, and advising fiduciaries in administering complex estates and trusts.
During law school, Maureen earned Columbia Law School’s top academic honor as a James Kent Scholar, was a Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs International Fellow and was the recipient of the Emil Schlesinger Labor Law Prize. During college, Maureen played on Holy Cross’ varsity volleyball, basketball, and lacrosse teams and was the recipient of the college’s Top Female Scholar-Athlete and Leadership Award.
When not practicing law, Maureen has spent much of her free time over the past several years involved in her community as a soccer coach at the Huntington YMCA, intramural basketball coach for local CYO teams, and school board president at St. Patrick’s School in Huntington.
Maureen enjoys going to the theater, playing tennis, skiing, and going for long walks on the beach.
