Lawrence is a problem solver who works closely with clients to navigate complex legal and business challenges. He takes a practical, cost-effective approach to litigation and risk management, always aligning strategy with his clients’ broader goals.
Lawrence S. Han is a partner in Rivkin Radler’s Professional Liability Practice Group, where he has successfully represented professionals against claims involving malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and mismanagement.
His representation of professionals includes attorneys, insurance agents and brokers, real estate agents and brokers, title abstract companies, architects, and directors and officers. He also defends domestic and foreign corporations in various industries against claims for website inaccessibility under the American Disability Act and other related New York state and city statues.
In addition to representing professionals, Lawrence has substantial experience in title insurance litigation, involving various challenges to real estate title arising from claims for adverse possession, boundary disputes, chain of title issues, quite title actions, easements, etc.
Lawrence is also a member of the firm’s Complex Torts & Product Liability Practice Group. He represents manufacturers and distributors in product liability and mass tort litigation in domestic and international forums, defending against claims for personal injury and property damage allegedly arising out of the use of and exposure to various products, including herbicides, pesticides and other chemicals. Lawrence is intricately involved in global product liability litigations, which often require devising robust legal strategies, from pre-litigation assessment to the overall handling of these actions. He has assisted in managing complex, and multi-party actions in the U.S., New Zealand, and the Republic of Korea.
Prior to joining Rivkin Radler, Lawrence handled various commercial disputes involving real estate, construction and securities. He has argued motions at the trial level and has appellate experience.
While attending St. John’s University School of Law, Lawrence participated in the St. John’s Securities Arbitration Clinic, where he prosecuted claims against securities brokers on behalf of individuals in need of legal assistance. Lawrence also served as an assistant director to the Polestino Trial Advocacy Institute and received the CALI Award for Excellence in Administrative Law.
He is fluent in Korean and enjoys traveling.

Lawrence is the president of the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York (KALAGNY) and is a member of the Asian American Bar Association of New York, and the International Association of Korean Lawyers.
Lawrence has been recognized as a Rising Star by New York Metro Super Lawyers from 2017 to 2025. In 2024 and 2025, he was honored as an AAPI Power Player by PoliticsNY and amNewYork. This distinction highlights elected officials, business leaders, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and advocates who are shaping the future of New York City.
Additionally, Lawrence was included in the 2024 City & State Power of Diversity: Asian Power 100 List, which celebrates individuals for their extensive experience and significant contributions as leaders within New York’s Asian American communities. In 2025, City & State recognized Lawrence in its inaugural Asian Trailblazers list.
In 2023, Lawrence received the Diversity in Business Award from Long Island Business News and was named to their 40 Under 40 list. In 2025, the publication acknowledged his significant impact on Long Island, both in the legal field and the community, by awarding him the Leaders in Law award.
