Jim enjoys investigating the unique facts of each case to develop a practical and efficient resolution strategy. He works with clients to develop policies and procedures to avoid risk, and counsels them on evidence preservation, contract construction, incident reporting, and other post-incident response procedures.
James Finn represents corporate clients and individuals in personal injury, general negligence, premises liability, products liability, and construction/labor law matters. A partner in the General Liability Practice Group, Jim has successfully tried several cases to verdict as lead counsel and has more than a decade’s experience defending clients in a diverse array of civil cases.
Jim’s practice focuses on defending claims asserted against world-class arenas and stadiums, construction companies and general contractors, exercise facilities, and sports complexes. He has also litigated commercial cases, real estate disputes, bankruptcy matters, medical malpractice actions, and employment claims. He has handled hundreds of motor vehicle and transportation claims and attended the USLAW Trucking Boot Camp to further hone his skills in this area.
Previously, Jim served as outside managing counsel for a large financial institution, where he supervised regional counsel in litigation matters in several states.
In law school, he was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity and a founding director of the American Constitution Society.
