Evan uses his commercial litigation and cooperative and condominium law experience to counsel clients on how to best protect themselves from liability and to enforce client rights under all types of corporate documents. Bringing outdated documents into compliance with current law, Evan strives to ensure clients meet the realities of modern-day living.
Evan R. Schieber, a commercial and real estate litigator, concentrates his practice on condominium and cooperative law, as well as corporate disputes.
A partner in Rivkin Radler’s Commercial Litigation, Construction, and Real Estate Practice Groups, Evan has acted as lead counsel in complex litigations involving commercial, real estate, and construction matters. He represents major real estate developers and property owners and advises condominium and cooperative boards, managing agents, owners of unsold shares, and owners of blocks of condominium units in all aspects of cooperative and condominium law.
Evan has successfully litigated sponsor control and construction defect claims concerning newly constructed condominiums and conversion projects. He regularly handles lender-liability and foreclosure matters and employment and corporate controversies.
He has commented on and explained the intricacies of cooperative and condominium law for Crain’s, The New York Times, and The Real Deal.
Evan earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where he was a Richardson Scholar.

A member of the Council of New York Cooperatives and Condominiums, Evan has particular knowledge of, and experience with, the Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act.
