Erez Glambosky has litigated thousands of commercial and residential landlord-tenant disputes throughout New York and New Jersey and has been quoted in The New York Times on rent regulatory issues.

Erez’s practice focuses on matters related to real estate, landlord-tenant issues, corporate law, and commercial litigation. He counsels his clients on all aspects of the landlord-tenant relationship, both residential and commercial, and represents them in related commercial litigation. His clients are major commercial and residential real estate corporations, asset and portfolio managers, landlords, tenants, developers, and management companies.

Erez frequently appears before the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR), the agency that administers rent stabilization and rent control. He has successfully represented many owners in the defense of tenant rent overcharge complaints, succession disputes, and service reduction claims, as well as in furtherance of major capital improvement applications, luxury decontrol proceedings, and many other matters.

Erez also has significant experience representing clients in administrative proceedings before agencies including the New York City Department of Buildings, the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, the New York State Attorney General’s Real Estate Finance Bureau and Consumer Frauds and Protection Bureau, the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission, and the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development. Lenders, developers, and landlords often call upon Erez to provide counsel and to coordinate the rent regulatory due diligence of a particular acquisition, development, or project.

Erez represents clients who are under investigation for alleged violations of laws related to the ownership and management of real estate before the New York Attorney General’s Office and United States Department of Justice. He appears before government agencies on behalf of landlords, developers and owners under investigation, and he assists in negotiating highly complex and sophisticated settlements with the goal of avoiding litigation. When necessary, Erez deploys advanced litigation strategies, using elite skills developed through decades of high-profile litigation and courtroom experience.

Before joining Rivkin Radler, Erez served as general counsel for a New York City-based real estate investment and construction firm with an extensive portfolio of multi-family (several thousand apartments), commercial, retail, and development assets in the New York City region.

Erez serves on the Board of Advisors of the New York Apartment Law Insider and is a member of the Community Housing Improvement Program, a trade association representing more than 2,500 building owners throughout New York City. Additionally, he is affiliated with the Real Estate and Allied Trades Division of the UJA-Federation of New York and is involved with many other charitable organizations.

Erez was named to New York Metro Super Lawyers Rising Stars in Real Estate for 2014 and 2015.
