Emily gravitated toward practicing health care law because she wanted to support providers in navigating a complex, highly regulated industry. Knowing that her legal guidance improves patient care and strengthens health care delivery is what fuels her.
Emily Manning focuses her practice on health care regulatory and transactional matters with additional experience in legal issues surrounding health system operations, corporate compliance, and patient-centered advocacy.
She has assisted in advising clients on issues involving corporate formation; employment and service agreements; and compliance with state and federal laws including the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and HIPAA.
Emily has worked with medical groups, professional practices, and hospital-affiliated entities, supporting legal and operational needs across the health care delivery spectrum. Her experience includes reviewing management services agreements, analyzing telehealth and reimbursement rules, conducting due diligence for health care transactions, and advising on multi-state scope-of-practice laws and licensure.
Emily is a graduate of Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law, where she earned a Health Law Concentration and served as president of the Health Law Society. She was also a Health and Policy Fellow with the Gitenstein Institute for Health Law and Policy and worked as a student-attorney for the Hofstra Medical-Legal Partnership, where she provided legal support focused on the social determinants of health.
