Although there are common themes to Brian’s cases – duty, breach, causation and damages – no two cases are alike. He embraces the challenge of developing a solution that best fits clients’ needs and values the opportunity to provide expertise in a variety of complex tort situations.
Brian S. Schlosser defends clients in general liability, construction accidents, labor law, products liability, toxic tort, and mass tort lawsuits, as well as in medical malpractice, nursing home liability, and adult care facility liability actions.
A partner in Rivkin Radler’s Complex Torts & Product Liability, General Liability, and Medical Malpractice Defense Practice Groups, Brian’s practice also includes bad faith, insurance coverage, and declaratory judgment litigation.
In addition to defending landowners, landlords, management companies, retail stores, and institutional clients against claims involving premises liability, construction accidents, and lead exposure, Brian defends hospitals, physicians, nursing homes, and adult care facilities against claims of malpractice, negligence, and statutory violations. He has successfully represented companies sued in false advertising class actions.
He has defended product and equipment manufacturers and suppliers against claims of asbestos exposure in the New York County Asbestos Litigation (NYCAL) as well as in the Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Judicial District Asbestos Litigations.
Brian has lectured about the New York County Asbestos Litigation as part of a continuing legal education program sponsored by the firm.
In law school, he served as managing editor of the Law Review.
