As a former assistant district attorney specializing in vehicular crimes and litigation, Ashley developed practical skills in reading and analyzing medical records, compiling evidence, and engaging in motion practice. She views her cases as a personal challenge, ensuring she investigates each one thoroughly.
Ashley Prinz is an associate in Rivkin Radler’s Insurance Fraud Practice Group.
Ashley helps insurers prosecute civil lawsuits under the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, including affirmative actions to recover insurer claim payments to physicians, medical clinics, attorneys, public adjusters, and others involved in complex, large-scale insurance fraud schemes.
Prior to joining Rivkin Radler, Ashley served as an assistant district attorney in the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office’s Vehicular Crimes Bureau. During her time there, she handled all aspects of prosecution of misdemeanor and felony charges, both violent and non-violent, and also conducted criminal investigations, numerous grand jury presentations, and evidentiary hearings. She also acted as lead counsel, trying numerous bench and jury trials to verdict.
Ashley is a graduate of St. John’s University School of Law, where she was a member of the Polestino Trial Advocacy Institute Mock Trial Competition Team and was awarded a summer public interest fellowship. During her time at St. John’s, she interned for the Queens, Kings, and Suffolk District Attorney’s Offices and Brooklyn Defender Services. She also served as a criminal law teaching assistant to the dean of the law school.
Ashley attended the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in political science, graduating magna cum laude.
