Real Estate Group Closes Multiple Deals in December 2018

Yaron Kornblum and John Panagopoulos represented the Borrower in its refinance of three multiple dwelling buildings in Chester, PA for a loan amount of $12.5 million. The lending institution was New York Community Bank.

Yaron Kornblum represented 138 Sharp Realty LLC in the refinance of four buildings containing 148 residential units and 7 commercial spaces in Bronx, NY. The lender was New York Community Bank with a loan amount of $21.5 million.

John Panagopoulos represented an international businessman based in Singapore, in his purchase of a condominium unit located at 2 Columbus Avenue, New York, NY. The purchase price was $2.49 million. The transaction required compliance with recently enacted statutes relating to acquisitions of NYC real property by foreign nationals.

Yaron Kornblum represented the Borrowers in twelve separate refinance transactions and mortgaged 17 multi-family apartment buildings. The lender was First Republic National Bank, with an aggregate loan amount of $42.7 million.

Yaron Kornblum represented the Borrowers in eight separate refinance transactions for 11 multi-family apartment buildings. The lender was The Community Preservation Corporation, with an aggregate loan amount of $26.28 million.

Jason Kurland, along with John Panagopoulos, represented the Seller in its transfer of a hotel located at 142 West 24th Street, New York, NY for a purchase price of $103 million. At the time of closing, the hotel project was still under construction. Therefore, the transaction involved the drafting of general contractor and architect agreements and assignments, franchise and management agreements, along with addressing zoning matters. As part of the transaction, the Seller retained an affiliate of the Purchaser to manage one of its existing New York City hotels.

Lou D’Amaro completed two commercial leases: a 3,000 square foot administrative office for import/export company located in Atlanta, Ga., and a lease for a liquor store located in a Brooklyn, NY shopping center.
